Wanborough Horse and Companion Dog Show
Wanborough Horse and Companion Dog Show is scheduled for Saturday 20 May and barring a couple of tweaks will follow the same format as last year show. Due to the continued popularity of dressage locally we are adding a novice class and introducing two new ridden showing classes, side saddle and Western riders.
We are continually moving forward and this year will be publishing a much more professional looking, full colour schedule on high quality glossy paper. We are looking for local businesses that may wish to sponsor a ring or a class or who would like to place an advertisement within the schedule. We would also like to have a perpetual trophy for every class, so if you wish to donate one, sponsor us or advertise please get in touch.
Observe, Listen, Adapt
2015 saw a completely new equestrian committee and bar a few minor hiccups it was an incredibly successful day. From our own observations and from listening to your feedback we built on this success in 2016 and brought back the ever popular 2’3" Open Jumping, split the showing into ridden and in hand rings to avoid confusion and introduced a new dilute showing class.
Helping out on show day
Wanborough shows are organisied and ran by volunteers and we can always use an extra pair of hands, even if you can only help for an hour or two. You don’t need to be horsey as assistance is required with stewarding, parking and general admin. If you are able to spare some time and help our ever growing shows then please contact us.
Anyone who volunteers will be given a Health and Saftey briefing, and food and drink.
Promoting Wanborough Show
The Horse and Dog show, and the Summer Show are both not for profit events. To keep our costs down we relay on the power of social media and free advertising. We have both Facebook and Twitter accounts. So please like us, share us, follow us and ultimately promote us.
